Week at a Glance 3rd June 2024

2nd Jun 2024

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We look forward to another wonderful week and hope to see everyone in school on Monday.  Our attendance audit is taking place this week and we would like to remind everyone of the importance of attending school everyday.  We have still lots of learning and teaching to do.

Today is the Feast Day of Corpus Christi and the annual Corpus Christi Procession will take place in Newry today.  All families are welcome to attend but a special invitation is extended to all P4 and P7 children and their parents to attend the procession.
It will begin at St. Mary's Church, Chapel Street at 3.00pm and continue along Boat Street, William Street, Hill Street, ending at the Cathedral for Benediction and blessing.

Those children who received the Sacrament of Holy Communion and Confirmation should go to the procession wearing their Holy Communion or Confirmation outfits.

If anyone finds walking from St. Mary’s Church to the Cathedral is too much, you are welcome to go to the Cathedral and wait for the procession.

This week our school is focusing on good manners and we will have special prize at Friday assembly for one child from each class who shows lovely manners in school.  Our dinner hall is a very busy room and can be quite noisy, so our supervisors are looking forward to seeing who will really impress them this week.

Mrs O'Hare's P3/4 prayer service for parents and families is taking place on Friday at 1:15pm.

Miss McAnulty's prayer service for parents and families will take place on 14th June.

Please note all music lessons are taking place on Monday so please remember your instruments.

Our wonderful Friends of St Patrick's Parents' Association are currently planning a disco for the end of term on 27th June. Please keep an eye on their Facebook page for more information in the coming days.

Please read the Week at a Glance to see what is happening this week in our school.

Thank you for your continued support!
