We have been learning about the importance of having dignity and respect through many activities on seesaw (Article 12)
As a Rights Respecting school, we understand the important of good relationships. We all have the right to an opinion, for it to be listened to and taken seriously (Article 13).
When discussing the concept of dignity and respect, the children have given various opinions on this and voiced their thoughts on this matter.
Meabh (P5) thinks, ‘ Others opinions are just as important as yours and small acts of kindness are going to have a big impact on peoples lives,’
These were other points made from the children.
’A smile goes a long way.’
’Treat others as you would like to be treated.’
’Listen and allow others to have their say’
The children showed many acts of kindness leading up to Valentine’s Day, creating and baking many things for their loved ones.
