Using dice to add numbers
16th Apr 2024
Room 2 were using dice to help them add numbers.
🎲 are a great resource in the classroom to visually support children when adding or doing a practical lesson on addition.
P1 are beginning to add 2 numbers, they have fun rolling the dice and counting how many dots there were together.
P2 were working on adding 3 numbers. Rolling 3 🎲 was great fun and helped the children to visually see how to group doubles and near doubles together first and then add the last number.
“Number work was so much fun today” said a number of the children.
