Welcome back for another new week of Spring Term 2023! Lots planned for this week so please read the 'Week at a Glance' carefully. There are two major foci for this week with a big emphasis on mental maths and on road safety skills. There are a few changes to PE days for some classes.
We have our Market Day which is promising to be a very special event for our school with lots of locals interested in renting tables for selling their goods. Thanks to all those who have contacted us. We will be in touch to finalise arrangements. We have a few tables left if anyone would like to rent one. Congratulations to our Primary 4 classes who made the sacrament of First Penance on Friday. Thanks to their teachers Mrs O'Hare and Miss Fegan and thanks to Father Byrne, our parish priest, who made the sacrament very personal and special. Thanks also to Father McGivern and Monsignor Connolly for assisting in the service.
The girls and boys who entered Warrenpoint Feis have been doing very well and we are looking forward to celebrating their participation with a special concert in school in the coming weeks, when they will all get an opportunity to perform for the school. Keep an eye on the school website for all our celebrations.
Please make sure your child is wearing the correct uniform to school. PE kit should only be worn on PE days or when your child is involved in a sports afterschool. The PE days for each class are included on the 'Week at a Glance' notification every week. Please contact Mrs Smith if there is any query regarding school uniform.
Congratulations to all our children who participated in the Scór na nÓg competition held in our school on Saturday. Well done everyone!
The weather is still very cold and we encourage all our children to wear a warm coat to school everyday.
Primary 7 parents are invited to a pre-sacramental meeting in school on Tuesday 7th March at 7:00pm. This is in preparation for your child receiving the sacrament of Confirmation. More details will be sent in coming week.
