The Vet

Today Caitlin McAnulty from Clanrye vets Newry came to visit room 2. Caitlin brought lots of things for the children to see and do. She had sample Ticks and Fleas our dogs and cats may carry. She told them the importance of cleaning animal teeth and had samples of good teeth and bad teeth for the children to look at. The children got the chance to bandage a dog, give the dog a drip and to open its tummy to see what it had eaten. 

There was a question and answer session at the end to allow the children to ask her about her job or if there was anything they wanted to know about an animal or how to take care of a sick animal.

Caitlin had a wealth of information and the children loved getting to do things. Thank you Caitlin.  We all enjoyed our time with you. I can see our 'Vets' corner will be taken to another level this week.
