Speak out. Stay safe. (Article 19)

Article 19 - You have the right to be protected from being hurt and mistreated, in body and mind.

Courtesy of the NSPCC, our pupils were able to participate in the 'Speak Out, Stay Safe' online programme. 

As part of the Speak Out, Stay Safe programme, the children met Buddy. Buddy is a friendly, green speech bubble. Buddy believes in children's rights and that children should be able to speak out if something is making them unhappy or worried.

The children watched an online assembly and learned that if they are ever feeling worried or if someone has hurt them, they should tell a trusted adult. 

Following the online assembly, the children had to help Buddy find a number of shapes on a day out to the seaside. The children also talked about things they like and make them happy.
