Sharing Rural Differences with St Patrick’s P.S. Mayobridge
Primary Six children welcomed their friends from St Patrick’s P.S. Mayobridge for a day of fun, activity-based learning, as part of the ‘Sharing Rural Differences’ programme.
We we began our day with a series of Numeracy problem solving games, which were really fun and challenging and certainly got us thinking! We enjoyed working together, in groups with our new friends.
After that, we were given a STEM challenge to create a renowned world landmark using just recycled paper and masking tape. The children's creations were fabulous! It was great to see the children display their collaborative and creative thinking-skills! We had everything from Big Ben, to the Golden Gate Bridge, to the famous Hollywood Hills sign!
Throughout the day we were treated to a FunFit session with coach, Marty Keenan, who kept us active with lots of fun group games.
What a wonderful day at school.
Huge thank you to St Patrick’s Mayobridge. May our long tradition of collaboration and neighbouring friendship continue.
