Rory is joint 2nd in Spelling Bee Final
1st May 2018
Congratulations to Rory who performed really well at the Spelling Bee Final on Tuesday 1st May. Rory survived the rounds until he reached the final group of five young spellers. The first four pupils spelt their word wrongly but the fifth child got his word correct and was pronounced the winner. The final was held in St Colmcille's P.S. in Downpatrick. It was very exciting. Some of the words were really hard.
Rory went out on the word 'hacienda'. Do you know what this word means? If not, check the dictionary.
Well done, Rory, you did the school proud!
