Primary 6 Learn about Biodiversity in Hilltown
24th Apr 2018
Biodiversity is the variety of plant and animal life in a habitat. Our local area provides a number of different habitats such as bog land, forest, heathland and fields.
We idenitifed a wide variety of plant and animal life which exists here in the Mournes. We learned how energy is passed through the food chain from producers such as gorse/juniper plants to predators such as the falcon or hawk.
Working in groups, we were able to name and sort the passage of energy through various food chains. Check out our lovely work!
