Primary 4 pupils receive the sacrament of First Penance

The boys and girls in Primary 4 celebrated a very special sacrament on Wednesday - the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
It was different from previous years as it was celebrated in the assembly hall with Fr Byrne. The children were nervous and excited. They prepared in school and home by listening to stories from the bible, learning prayers and discussing times when they didn’t show love to God. God forgives everyone when we say sorry.

Afterwards the children had an afternoon of play and fun. Everyone got a certificate and sweets. 

We now continue our preparation for another special sacrament - First Holy Communion which we will celebrate on 5th June.
