Practical Maths Week in P6
Primary Six are learning to recognise 3D shape and describe the properties of 3D shape using level four maths language. They enjoyed games which encouraged development of their naming and describing skills.
P6 also investigated the nets of a cube. They predicted which formation will make a solid cube, before using numeracy equipment to make the shapes and test their predictions. We found lots of nets which form to make a cube. We recorded our answers by drawing nets into our books, neatly.
Many of us were challenged with finding the many nets of a triangular prism. How many nets can you draw, using equipment to help you?
We love practical maths!
