P4 trip to “who what where when why”- W5!
Primary four had a wonderful time in W5 Belfast on the 15th May. The children had an exciting day exploring, discovering and doing.
W5 has over 200 interactive exhibits which are divided into four main exhibition areas, Discovery, Go, See and Do.
We enjoyed Climbit- described by a child as “Giant Pringles to climb on!” Keep an eye out for Miss Keenan and Mrs Austin in the photographs as they joined in the climbing! It was apparently safer than climbing on a staircase. The lady supervising us was delighted at how quickly our group reached the top and played well together.
Part of our trip included an educational based workshop with Sean the scientist. We toyed with forces! The children really enjoyed learning and playing with forces the rough magnets, toys and rockets. 🚀Check our Luca’s reaction in the video! Sean was delighted with our groups behaiviour and enthusiasm for Science even though they’d had a busy day climbing.
Space base was an exciting adventure where the children had to make their way up through the launch gantry or climb through spider webbing inside the rocket. There were lots of tunnels, a space slide, tube slides, foam hills, web stepping stones and much more!
