P3/4 Celebrate World Book Day
P3/4 from Mrs O'Hare's class began World Book Day in style this year. They combined listening to a story with a work out. They took part in another live zoom with Gary Wallace from Core Services on world book day workout.
The children celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as characters from their favourite books. As you can see they all looked fantastic and participated in book activities in the classroom. They were able to talk about their character, giving lots of facts and information about them. They enjoy books and like to read. One boy's character was extremely relevant as he dressed up as Mr Fox from the story Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl. This character was extremely relevant as this story was our class novel. The children thoroughly enjoyed the story and loved listening to it. A few weeks ago after they completed the novel the boys and girls had a special treat in the afternoon where they got to watch the film version of Fantastic Mr Fox. As discussed with the boys and girls, they realised that it is much better to read the book first before watching a film version of the book. That way they can use their own imagination rather than the creators thoughts and ideas.
