P1 keeping a steady beat.

P1 have been tapping and clapping steady beats to the nursery rhymes they are learning in class.

Today the children used the Outdoor Classroom to use cleaves to tap a steady beat to all the rhymes they have been learning. The Outdoor Classroom is great to allow the children to loudly express themselves while learning. 

Learning to keep a steady beat is part of Phonological Awareness. This is the beginning of hearing sounds before Jolly Phonics sounds are introduced to them.
