P1 estimating length

P1 were using measuring snakes to order length. One child said "we have to guess where the snake fits and if it is shorter or longer than the one before!!" It all looked very easy as a shared activity but when put in groups it became so much harder. They had to work out who was going first and then which direction to go for the next person, they also had to try and keep the snakes in line - lots of thinking skills in this lesson.
