Owl Babies
The children in Room 3 have been reading and listening to the story of the 'Owl Babies'.
This is part of their World Around Us topic. The children have been talking about how the owls were cared for, how their mother went hunting for food and about where they lived. They also talked about how the owls would have felt being left on their own.
The children know lots of facts about owls also.
As a continuation of their topic through art, the children had a very therapeutic afternoon tearing paper into strips to use as owl feathers. Pastels were also used as another medium. 2D shape was also brought into this activity and the children drew some fantastic oval shapes to represent the body of the owls.
Well done Primary 2 on creating a beautiful wall display. 🙂
