This morning we had a wonderful concert outdoors, to mark the occasion of Miss Lawless’ retirement.
It was strictly socially distanced with each class happily in their ‘bubble’.
Every class presented an item which showed great creativity, talent and ability to entertain! We had some great laughs! The whole event was a delight.
Once again, the weather was perfect - warm but not hot and there was no wind.
It was really wonderful for the whole school community to be outside together again for the second time this week! What a blessing!
Miss Lawless was presented with lots of wonderful retirement cards and many good wishes. She was told to go and have fun, get plenty of rest and drink lots of tea!
There was a special surprise guest - past pupil, Darragh Mc Sloy. Darragh wrote a song for the occasion and he performed it with his sister Michaela and Miss Fegan’s primary 4 pupils. The video is here for you to listen to and enjoy.
At the end of the lovely concert Miss Mc Anulty presented Miss Lawless with a photo album containing pictures of the last 26 years. A work of art!
Miss Lawless says a big ‘thank you’ to all the children for bringing such joy this morning and to all the staff for their hard work in helping the children prepare.
There couldn’t be a better send-off!
