Room 2 Odds Socks Day and a little visitor!!
Today the staff and children wore odd socks for World Down Syndrome day. There were lots of colours and shapes and sizes of socks in Room 2.
After lunch Harry's Granda, Granny and little sister brought in a little lamb. As we are learning about the farm and have a 'Vets' role play corner it was a great opportunity to get a small animal in to visit. Some of the children had never seen a lamb up close never mind touch one!! The children had a great time running around after it to try and catch it so they could pet it. By the end a few wanted to keep it or take it home. Harry was the best catcher when it took off - an experienced boy on the farm. The children had the opportunity to ask Harry's Granda a few questions on his role as a farmer. A special thank you to Harry's grandparents for visiting the school with one of their little lambs.
