Numeracy Fun

Primary 2 have been having lots of fun time during their numeracy lessons. 

In pairs the children have been playing board games and learning how to add 2 numbers together by keeping the bigger number in their heads. They understand that sometimes they might just know the answer and that when they add zero to a number the number stays the same. However, they also understand that they might need their number line to add on to help them.

The children had great fun and were able to take turns. Lots of noise in class when a winner had used all their counters.
