Ms McNeill
The P1’s were very busy this week working on number and length.
They were playing pencils on IWB with Tizzy to find the correct long, short, thick or thin pencil. Then they made long and short snakes with the linking blocks. This activity included comparing length and using length language.
The children are moving from orally counting to 10 to recognising numbers and numicon shapes to 10. They have been making sets to 5 and matching numbers or numicon shapes. But I gave them a challenge to see how far they can go making sets to match to numbers to 10. They were all brilliant!
