Primary 7 had a wonderful time at the ‘Memories Are Made Of These’ workshop which was kindly provided by Sinead McAleavey from Armstrong Storytelling and The Cosy Club.
The children and their teachers enjoyed an afternoon of reminiscence and listening to Sinead tell stories of life in the past, while The Cosy Club members told the children about what life was like for them. They shared stories about school days, telling them about the games they played, the hobbies they had, the chores the did, and lots more.
Sinead brought a big box of interesting artefacts which the children had the opportunity to examine and play with! Rhionnagh, one of our P7s, even found her granny’s name written in a book that had once been in the school❤️! The children enjoyed getting to talk about their own families and some were lucky enough to have their own grannies at the session❤️!
I think it’s safe to say our Primary 7 children thoroughly enjoyed the session, learning lots about the past in their community! Have a look at what they got up to.
