Literacy in Room 2

This week P1 recapped on all the Jolly Phonic sounds they have been taught. As part of the consolidation at the end of the week they were making cvc words using phonics cubes and picture cards. To complete this activity the children had to listen to the word they were saying, tap the 3 sounds out and then find the sounds needed to build the word. 

P2 have been focusing very hard on spellings in class. Every Monday and Thursday they have a spelling lesson as part of their Literacy. In the pictures you can see them doing a visual spelling test where they listen to the word called out, find it on the part and copy it onto their whiteboard.
