Letters to the Authorities for resurfacing of yards.
Our School Council and Rights Respecting Teams decided they would write letters to the Local Councillors, Education Authority and other politicians to get help and support to request new surfacing of 2 of our playgrounds. Both playgrounds were very rough, the stones from the old tar was crumbling which meant there were more injuries during break and dinner time.
The children all wrote letters and the letters were distributed to many of the above. Thankfully the Education Authority listened to their request and the school got both playgrounds resurfaced. Now the children have to think about what markings they would like on the yards to keep them entertained when outside.
Below you can see the P7 School Council and Rights Respecting Team members with the workmen just before they completed the work. In the photo there are a number of our past pupils which is lovely to see them back working to improve our school grounds. Thank you to all involved!
