Home Learning in Primary 2
Take a look at some of the fabulous work completed by the children in Primary 2 at home this week.
In literacy the children focused on the story of Pippety Skycap. The story was about a little pixie who loved to have fun and loved to giggle but most of all, he loved to play tricks. All the activities were created to develop the childrens' skills and confidence in talking and listening, reading and writing.
In numeracy the children became familiar with vertical addition and subtraction. They also went on 2d and 3d shape hunts and recorded their findings. A link was made to Pippety Skycap, whereby the children measured themselves and other members in their household.
Many more activities were completed over the week ranging from; creating their very own pixie using leaves, making their own play dough to create Pippety Skycap, to completing their making faces challenge! Here the children went out into their garden and used leaves, twigs, grass and many more items to create some amazing faces.
The children also coloured rainbows this week, to support their well being.
Another busy week with great interaction from everyone. Well done and thanks again to the parents for supporting you this week with your home learning.
