Heated Debate in P6!
This week, Miss Murphy's P6 class have been developing their persuasive writing skills. They debated about many controversial issues in today's society, such as whether or not uniforms should be compulsory in schools, 'Is the internet harmful to children?', 'Should bullies be helped or punished?', 'Should you receive a fine for not recycling?', 'Should we text on animals?', 'Should fox hunting be banned?' plus many more.
We developed our collaborative skills through planning and working hard to include as many persuasive devices in our speeches as possible. In the videos below, you can hear many of our persuasive words and phrases.
We recorded our speeches using the collaboratively learning journal, 'Seesaw' on our iPads. This app allows us to plan, record and exhibit our work, as well as comment on, share and evaluate each other's learning. We have really enjoyed developing our ICT skills through 'Seesaw' this year.
