Happy St Patrick's Day (Article 14)
Article 14 (freedom of thought, belief and religion). Every child has the right to think and believe what they choose and also to practise their religion, as long as they are not stopping other people from enjoying their rights. Governments must respect the rights and responsibilities of parents to guide their child as they grow up.
Today we celebrate St Patrick's Day. Saint Patrick is the Patron Saint of Ireland and holds a special place in our hearts as our namesake at St Patrick's Primary School, Hilltown.
Our P.1 - P.3 pupils have been learning about St Patrick this week and we had our first outdoor assembly of the year yesterday in honour of our special saint.
Our P.4 - P.7 pupils have been learning about Saint Patrick through the Home Learning programme (which is now ended, thank God).
Today we invite you to enjoy the 'Story of Saint Patrick', and join in song with the hymn, 'Hail Glorious Saint Patrick'.
