We are all delighted with the news from the NI Executive today that our P.4-P.7 pupils will all return to school on Monday, after the St Patrick's day break.
We know that the children will be excited to get back to school, to see their friends again, to learn and have fun. Children are coming back to the same teacher, the same classroom assistant, (if they have one), the same group of friends and the same classroom and it will be a VERY happy reunion!!
Last week the P.1 - P.3 pupils came running, hopping and skipping back - with delight and joy, and to be honest, it was as if they had never been away! During the lockdown, the children worked really hard and were supported so well by their parents that it was easy for the children to slip back into the classroom learning process. It will be the same for our older pupils.
School starts at 9am. The gate opens at 8.40am. School finishes at 1.50 pm for P.1 - P.3 pupils.
School finishes at 2.50pm for P.4 and P.5 pupils and their siblings in P.6 and P.7.
School finishes at 3pm for P.6 and P.7 pupils and all bus pupils.
Our main mitigation to protect pupils and staff will continue to be our class 'bubbles' which worked extremely well during the first term.
Children will wash their hands on arrival at school. They will wash their hands regularly throughout the day.
Please bring a healthy snack for break.
Lunch should be brought in a paper bag or a lunch box which can be cleaned each day.
The dinner menu is on the website and all money must be given to the teacher each Monday in a clearly labelled envelope, payment for siblings will not be accepted and no change will be given.
The bus service will resume, as normal.
Pupils in P.4 - P.7 wear their tracksuit or full school uniform - whatever is most convenient for each family.
Please do not send your child to school if they are sick.
