February Round Up

What a busy month Primary 3&4 had in February . We started celebrating St Brigid. We learned about looking after our own mental health and making sure we talk to those we trust at school and home when we’re feeling sad. We read stories about how we feel. The theme was Growing Together. We looked at how to reach our own goals we set for ourselves. We came to school dressed in our own clothes or wore a costume so we could express ourselves. 

We had some time in the ICT suite playing a range of learning games. We discussed internet safety and the dangers we face today especially when playing online, which a lot of our children are doing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our pancakes that P7 made on Shove Tuesday. Father Byrne came in to speak with Primary 4 about preparing for First Penance. Then we watched mass online for Ash Wednesday. We’ve made a lot of lent promises and are going off things we like and going on doing good things and trying to be a better person which helps us as we prepare for making our First Penance.
