Education Re-start August 2020

Parents, attached find a very useful leaflet from the Department of Education and a letter from the Minister of Education, Mr Peter Weir, MLA.

Please be aware that while the Minister of Education recommended that only P.7 pupils attend school in the week of 24th August, the 42 local primary schools (Newry Area Primary Principals Group) agreed that all our pupils will return to school during the week of 24th - 28th August for Induction Sessions which will focus on Pastoral Care and the well-being of the children.  This is still our plan in St Patrick's. Mrs Brown will phone families of P.2 - P.7 pupils on Monday 17th August and inform you which days your child will attend school in the week of 24th - 28th August.  All pupils will return to full-time education on 1st September. (P.1 pupils have their own individual schedule for starting school).
