Chinese New Year
24th Jan 2020
The children in Primary 2 today explored the topic of the Chinese New Year.
The children listened to the story called 'The Great Race' and now have an understanding as to why this year is known as The Year of the Rat.
Today they learnt about how the Chinese celebrate and have many traditions in bringing in their New Year. The children also had the opportunity to look at lanterns, money wallets, chopsticks, dragons and many more Chinese items linked to the New Year.
