Celebrating ‘World Children’s Day’ at W5

Our P7 Anti-Bullying ambassadors, P7 Eco members, P7 School council and all of our Rights Respecting team were very fortunate to avail of the opportunity to explore their Rights further in W5 today. There were 5 levels of activities which they had to complete to get stickers on their Rights Card. Activities included quizzes and competitions on articles.

On the final level, the children received a badge and pledge cards for completing all the levels on the different Rights challenges.  We also found our posters on the wall that we had sent to W5 previously, based on issues such as mental health and social media pros and cons.

A lot of organisation was put into this successful day by the NICCY team, in order to help celebrate the UNCRC’s 30th birthday with over 2000 children attending. 

Well done to all the children on their excellent effort and wonderful behaviour.  A big thanks also to Mrs Hearty for leading the RRSA team and to Mrs Hynes and Ms Keenan for helping the children complete the activities at W5!
