CATHOLIC SCHOOLS' WEEK 2016
Catholic Schools' Week will be celebrated this year from 31st January - 7th February.
To mark this yearly event we are having a special mass in school on Wednesday 3rd February at 10am for staff and pupils. All pupils from P.4 - P.7 will participate in the music and singing and readers and soloists will be pupils from P.7.
This mass will be a double celebration as it will be the launch of our 50th Anniversary Celebrations.
On Wednesday 27th January a number of staff and P.7 pupils attended a special diocesan mass in Newry Cathedral to mark Catholic Schools' Week. The main celebrant was Bishop John Mc Areavey and he was joined on the altar by a number of priests including our own parish priest, Father Jarlath Cushenan. We were delighted to have the opportunity to take part in this special event as a way of marking the beginning of Catholic Schools' Week 2016 and celebrating with other schools in our diocese.
This year the theme of Catholic Schools' Week is 'Challenged to Proclaim God's Mercy'.
