This week we start 'The Big Walk and Wheel Two Week Challenge'. We want to use this challenge to promote Road Safety and Walking to School. There is an online journey counter for our school which our teachers will be using each morning to record how many children actively travelled to and from school. We are using a variety of resources to help our children learn the importance of being active and the benefits to their health and to the environment, not to mention how much money can be saved.
It is a national competition, and it would be great if our have a chance to be high on the leader board as well as learn the importance of being healthy through making healthy travel choices.
We can't wait to see how much walking and exercise our children and their families will get up to over the next fortnight!
