Awesome Author !!!!

Primary 5 were delighted to have Declan Carville, a local author,  spend the day with them on Thursday 13^th June.  This was a special reward for completion of the most AR quizzes this year.

Declan spoke to the children about the inspiration for some of his books he has written and showed them pictures of his illustrator's sketches that were used in his books.  The children then had the opportunity to do some Shared Writing with Declan based on a story of their own.

They really enjoyed the experience and who knows......some of our pupils could be back visiting our school when they become famous authors!!!
