50th Anniversary
We began our 50th Anniversary celebrations in February to coincide with Catholic Schools Week. Here on our website you will find picture of many of the exciting things we did last year. This school year began with Tempest Photographers taking photographs of all pupils in year groups. As you can see in this photo our pupils were practising their Shape and Space skills on Thursday 15th September when all pupils made the shape of '50' in the school grounds. This week we have visits from Image Musical Theatre company to perform 'Jungle Book' for P.2 - P.7 pupils and the 'Alex and Connie' puppet show on Home Safety for P.1 pupils. We are having two 'Local and School History' days for pupils on 11th and 12th October when past teachers and other visitors will come to talk to pupils about the recent and not so recent past! The weekend of 15th and 16th October will be a final focus of our 50th celebrations. Everyone in the community is warmly invited to visit the school on Saturday 15th October between 11am and 4pm or on Sunday 16th October between 12 noon and 3pm to see our local history presented in photographs. The whole school will take part in the 11am parish mass on Sunday 16th October, with refreshments afterwards in the school. Other events are also planned for earlier in October!
