Instructional Writing in Room 2

This term the children were learning how to write instructions. Today they made a melting snowman ⛄️, they listed the ingredients they needed and talked about how to make it before they put it together. 
The children loved the idea of making the melting snowman biscuits because they knew they were going to get to eat them later. 
When they were recording the instructions the children had first hand experience of the steps in making this simple yummy biscuit. After they recorded how to make a melting snowman ⛄️ biscuit they got the pleasure of eating it. 
Hopefully a few children get the chance to make a some simple biscuits at home!
