πŸŽƒπŸ‘»πŸ•ΈπŸ§™β€β™€οΈπŸ§™ Happy Hallowe’en! Article 30 πŸŽƒπŸ‘»πŸ•ΈπŸ§™β€β™€οΈπŸ§™

27th Oct 2023

Article 30 says children and young people have the right to their own culture, religion and language.

We have many traditions at Halloween and have enjoyed sharing our own family traditions. Some of these have been changed over time. For example, we used to carve turnips and now we carve pumpkins! Some people used to try to bite an apple hanging on a string, some families now use ring doughnuts! We all still enjoy trick or treating, apple bobbing and eating apple tart, often with a coin hidden in a slice for good luck.

Trick or treat, trick or treat!

Give me something nice to eat,

Not too big, not too small,

Just the size of Donegal!

Primary five have enjoyed making Hallowe’en decorations and had a treat at the end of the day! They made 3D Vampire Teeth and Skull Model. Hopefully we’ll all have a very Happy and Safe Hallowe’en! πŸŽƒπŸ‘»πŸ•ΈπŸ§™‍β™€οΈπŸ§™
