FIRST HOLY COMMUNION 2016

On Saturday 14th May 2016 we woke up to a blue sky and sunshine. We had all prayed for good weather for our First Communion day and we weren't disappointed!  The sun shone in Hilltown from morning until late evening. Forty pupils were blessed in receiving the sacrament of Holy Communion for the first time.  All the children read, sang and prayed beautifully and they were a credit to their parents and to the school. They were ably supported by the school choir. Thanks to all the staff who helped prepare the children, to Father Cushenan and to the members of the Legion of Mary for their work at the reception afterwards in the school. Well done to all!
